Reading Project

We had a great day! We walked into Town to visit the library. All of Holly and Elm are now members-HAPPY READING.

We found out lots of exciting things about Charles Darwin's school days and saw parts of the library that are closed to the public....shhhhhhh!

As it was a lovely day we decided to eat our lunch in the castle grounds. We visited Laura in her tower. She wasn't home.

We were tired when we got back to school but felt bathed in History. What a lovely place we live in.

Forest Friends Afternoon

On Monday we went out into the Forest friends area and made shelters for bears as part of our Design and Technology Unit. We started with a T-Pee shape and then added walls using natural objects.

Look at this fantastic Collage we did!
What have we been up to so far this term?

Well Mr Peevor arrived with a Bucketful of Dinosaurs and we wrote our own stories about Dinosaurs. have a look at Joe's and Josh's below. They have used some really good WOW words.

Dinosaurs and Volcanoes

A volcano exploded in the Dino City, a T-Rex loudly shouted really loud, he was frightened. It is terrifying and the Earth is glowing everywhere and it is on fire. rocks fell down and they are burning some baby dinosaurs. T-Rex came and scooped them up, they were saved.

Joe.

Volcano Danger

Pterodactyl smashed into a castle and a volcano exploded. The dinosaurgot scorched from hot rocks. The castle is broken on the floor and lava covers it. He flew up into the sky dodging the rocks; he flew over the hot hissing sea to the hills where he was safe.
